Always Building on our Reputation Mail: gsiconstruction@outlook.com Wrap around extension Removing an existing extension and adding a new one - Callow End

This large project involved the demolition of an old, seventies extension which was replaced with a new, two storey extension to one side with a Georgian style orangery to the rear and to balance off the building, a new garage with attached utility on the opposite side of the house.  Due to the large spans involved in the construction of the green orangery roof, the specially constructed RSJ support beams required the use of a crane to accurately drop them into place within the building with no room for error.   To finish off, feature garden walls were constructed to the rear of the property to surround the newly constructed patio area.

The hipped roof of the replacement wrap around extension.

The orangery and two storey extension take shape giving the building a completely changed and impressive vista.

The extension in full flow during the fitting of the large roof support joist (RSJ) for the orangery.

The build was undertaken in February 2010 and completed later on in that year.
